ASOR Fundamentals

Workday Agent System of Record (ASOR) helps customers monitor, manage, scale and audit AI agents across Workday, including Workday-delivered Agents, Partner-developed agents and third-party agents - all within a central location.

ASOR achieves this through comprehensive centralized governance with decentralized agent ownership, maximizing the value of the Workday Architecture, providing scalability and orchestration.

Customers need a Workday tenant through any Workday SKU such as Core HCM or Core FINS to access ASOR.

UMSA is required for non-production and production tenants for Workday-Built agents. UMSA isn't required for non-production tenants for self-built agents.

Just as Workday leads in managing the human employee lifecycle, it applies the same discipline to the continuous management of AI agents. With the Agent System of Record (ASOR), you can seamlessly register, configure, activate, and deprovision your agents.

Our approach to Agent System of Record is that it is open and extensible. It’s a single system of record for registering, monitoring, managing, and governing your entire AI workforce.

Details around how orchestrating with third-party agents are still in development, and will likely involve connecting third-party agents with Workday-built ones through endpoints, rather than configuring 100% of the orchestration of third-party agents in ASOR.
