The Calculation Engine Behind Absence Management
The Workday Calculation Engine is a core system utility that enables you to define time off calculations, the business logic, and rules governing time off. It provides flexible, intuitive configuration capabilities that can be used to define accruals, eligibility rules, carryover amounts, upper and lower limits, and other time off values.
This Next Level Feature Adoption focuses on Calculation types, Intervals of Time, Time Off Plan Components, and the Workday recommended design. We also take an in-depth look at the Calculation Engine in action. By the end of this presentation, you'll be able to define each type of absence-related calculation and configure common calculations for Time Off Plans.
- Advanced lookup tables can handle high volumes and provide one place to update data for easy maintenance. They also allow you to Create up to 10 columns and use each column for a different calculation.
