Get Started as a Training Coordinator
Welcome to Workday! We’re excited to work with you as a Training Coordinator.
We’ve created this page as a starting point to help you prepare for your new role. The goal is to set the right expectations from the start so you can be successful in the future. In this 3-minute Training Coordinator overview video, we introduce the role, responsibilities, and resources that you'll use.
Training Coordinator Role and Responsibilities
The Training Coordinator is the point of contact within your organization who manages training.
Training Coordinators are responsible for managing:
- Workday Learning Center accounts
- Training plans and budgets
- Training enrollments (approving, assigning, declining)
- Training subscriptions
- Training cases
To perform these responsibilities, you need to have an understanding of our Training Policies.
Systems and Tools for Your Role
Training Coordinators operate in 2 systems, both of which you access from the Workday Community.
Workday Community
The Workday Community is your resource hub—it contains information and instructions on the training resources. From the Workday Community, you can:

- Manage cases, learners, training transactions, and subscriptions.

- Browse courses and subscription content.
- Enroll learners in training.
- Approve Seld-Directed and Workday Pro Certification Exam enrollment requests.
- Drop learners from training.
- Run reports.
