Request Accommodations

Workday Education recognizes that providing accommodations for students with disabilities, whether permanent or situational, is essential to their satisfaction with our classes. We carefully consider all accommodation requests to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning experience. Below are some of the accommodations that we provide:

• Early eBook Access: If the student needs more time to read the course manual and any activities in the course manual, we can send the student the course manual 1 week before the start date of the class. Providing them more time to review the materials.

• Language Interpreter, Companion Reader: Students are permitted to bring a companion or interpreter to class. However, the student or partner organization should provide the companion or interpreter. The companion or interpreter isn't a registered student and doesn't receive a tenant. If their assistance is needed during the exam, note it in the request case. Since the companion or interpreter isn't a registered student, you aren't charged for the additional attendee needed for the accommodation.

• Individualized Accommodations: If the student needs more individualized accommodations outside of what is described above, include the details of the student's needs in your case submission. 

• Live Transcription (No Case Required): All of our classes are equipped with live transcription capabilities through Zoom. Students can always enable live transcripts during the session. If you're having issues with this feature, we suggest you consider trying these options:    
  • Restart the session.
  • Ensure that you have the latest Zoom update.
  • If you have concerns with the reliability with Zoom closed captions, we recommend you submit a request to have an interpreter attend the class to provide sign language, or provide real-time manual captioning during the Zoom session. 

• Time Extension (Extra 60 minutes)
• Text to Speech, Screen Magnifier, Screen Reader
  • Note: If you plan to use any of the above accommodations, we recommend that you also request extra time.
• Permission to speak or read aloud
• Language Interpreter, Companion Reader

• Name Discrepancy (preferred name versus government-issued ID name)

• Human assistant during exam
• Permission to speak or read aloud
• The use of headphones
• Permission to eat food
• Name Discrepancy (preferred name versus government-issued ID name)

Permitted accommodations at all Test Centers (No case required): 

• The use of medication
• Restroom breaks
• White boards
• Permission to have drinks
• The presence of service animals
• The use of a face mask. Face mask needs to be temporarily removed to validate identity but then can be worn during the exam.

Note: In-Person accommodations require preparatory arrangements and must be submitted 30 days before your appointment time. For time extension accommodations, requests can be made 15 days in advance.
