Launch Flex Deployment Approach

Statement of Work Reference Guide

The SOW Reference Guide is a noncontractual, supplementary document that clarifies the Workday deployment process for our Customers, and explains the context and terminology of the legally enforceable Statement of Work (SOW).

Workday Methodology Overview

All Workday deployments follow 1 Workday Methodology. This proven, rapid methodology is based on years of experience deploying our products.

Stages

Workday’s methodology is based on main stages throughout a deployment. There are 4 stages with these main objectives:

Plan Stage

  • Establish project management and administration based on an agreed-upon scope.

Architect and Configure Stage

  • Collaborate with customers, using customer business requirements and delivered optimized configurations/business processes to design Workday configuration.

Test Stage

  • Validate configuration decisions, and ensure customer readiness.

Deploy Stage

  • Move to Production, stabilize, and transition to customer operations.

Main concepts that customers should understand about our deployments are the ability to focus on the additional benefits of deploying Workday, including:

  • Faster time to value by quickly deploying an initial solution.
  • Optimization of the existing solution through product updates and configuration, not customization.
  • Adopting extra functionality of the solution after the initial deployment.

The Post Go-Live Survey is a means to capture invaluable feedback from customer Executive Sponsors and Project Managers regarding their implementation project. It provides a comprehensive understanding of your deployment experience, enabling us to drive continuous improvements in both our deployment teams' performance and the complete deployment process.
