Using Worksheets Templates to Share Multiple Reports

The most common method to share a large number of reports with a group of users is to use Report Groups. With the introduction of the Worksheets Template feature, we now have another way. This option offers several key benefits:

  • Report results are based on the end user’s security permissions.
  • The results can display inside the tenant, and field values are drillable.
  • Users decide when the data in the reports gets refreshed. They can establish their own refresh schedule in addition to performing ad hoc refreshes.
  • Users can personalize the returned results by updating each report’s prompt values.
  • Users can slice and dice the data to perform their own analysis. This analysis will persist even after a data refresh. (Published: 03/2021)
