Deploy - Launch Express

Once the customer has met all of the exit criteria for the Test stage, they’re ready to move on to the Deploy stage. During the Deploy stage, the customer goes live on Workday in a Production environment using all of the features and integrations configured and tested during previous stages.

Some activities in this stage depend on the products deployed. Assume that all activities in the Plan stage are required unless otherwise noted.

 

Knowledge Transfer

  • Attend Knowledge Transfer Sessions
  • Complete the Knowledge Transfer Self-Guided Test Scenarios

Worker Data Catch-Up

  • Process manual transactions to capture organization updates from the snapshot date through Go-Live
  • Workday can assist with some of the data catch-up activities if volume is high
    • Examples: new hires, compensation changes, pay group assignments, job changes, organization changes
    • If Workday is helping with data catch-up, they will host a call 2-3 weeks before loading, covering the scope of what data to provide and timeframes for delivery

Go-Live

  • Approve the go-live checklist and authorization form when requested by the Engagement Manager 

Post-Production Support

  • Understand how to reach out to Customer Success Manager through Community
  • Attend introduction call with the Expert Assist team 
  • Workday project resources will provide support based on the terms listed in the Statement of Work

Post Go-Live (PGL) Survey

  • After Go-Live, Customer Project Managers and Executive Sponsor should expect to receive the Post Go-Live Survey
  • Complete the Post Go-Live Survey to provide feedback to Workday on the deployment
