Receive Workday Community Emails
Receive Emails from Workday
To receive emails from Workday, your IT department should rely on checks based on the DMARC standard. Valid emails sent from Workday pass DMARC validation. This validation enables your email server to more clearly tell which messages are legitimate and which aren't. Review this DMARC FAQ for more details.
We send Workday Community emails using an external email service. All emails and notifications from Community come from:
- community@workday.com
- collaborate.workday.com
- @resourcecenter.workday.com for Multi-Factor Authentication codes
Links Auto Expiring
Some email server protection software automatically expires links in emails from the Workday Community, such as a Reset Password link. Work with your IT organization and review the knowledge article about this specific issue.
Software that we know can cause the password link to expire:
- McAfee feature Link Protect
- Outlook all versions (corrupted rules)
- Mimecast Anti-spoofing software
IP Allowlisting Issue
Workday sends emails using different mailing platforms. These platforms use large pools of IP addresses that rotate dynamically, which makes it unreliable to depend on allowlisting IP addresses.
Other companies use the same mailing platforms that Workday uses. Allowlisting large sets of IP addresses from these platforms results in effectively enabling anyone using the email services to send emails to you, which reduces protection against receiving illegitimate emails.
Confirm that your email spam filter doesn't allowlist emails for the Workday Community by IP address. This doesn't work with our rotating IP address infrastructure.
If your spam filter has complex allowlisting rules with IP addresses, then allowlist:
- @workday.com
- community@workday.com
- collaborate@mail.collaborate.workday.com
- @resourcecenter.workday.com for Multi-Factor Authentication codes
Workday Community emails can be identified with Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM). We recommend that you check SPF records and DKIM signatures with your mail server.
