Workday Peakon Employee Voice Adoption Guide - Increase Manager Engagement
A successful employee engagement strategy requires the involvement of senior leaders and managers. These stakeholders can quickly and effectively identify and address employee needs through the Workday Peakon Employee Voice platform to establish lasting improvements. Read more on how to keep them engaged and involved.
Manager Accountability
Hold your managers accountable by setting clear targets. Example:
- Every manager with access to comments should have comment interactions features enabled (conversations or acknowledgments).
- Add engagement as a point on the agenda for monthly team meetings.
- Managers (at all levels) should commit to 2-3 actions: 2 quick wins and 1 longer term goal per focus area.
Usage Metrics
Regularly reviewing the usage metrics is crucial for providing targeted guidance and recommendations to your organizational leaders. By using these metrics, you can identify effective leadership behaviors, areas of opportunity, and support measures for your team leaders.
For each of these three metrics, you can first see the overall data reflecting the manager activity corresponding to the cohort selected in your context switcher. Then, click into each data point to gather breakdowns of the data, identify hotspots of inactivity and push for change within your organization:
- Logins: Track managers' dashboard sign-ins to gauge their engagement level with the platform and their teams' progress.
- Actions planned: Monitor actions planned and completed for each manager. Promote improvements within the segments that are less engaged with the feature.
- All comment interactions: Assess acknowledgments and replies from managers on employee comments, encouraging meaningful interactions and engagement with feedback.
Heat Map Analysis
The heat map feature segments survey results to help your managers identify crucial improvement areas, patterns, and correlations within the organization. Key aspects include:
- User Interface: Understanding how scores are displayed and color gradient representation.
- Segment Selection: Ensuring segments meet visibility requirements.
- Viewing Options: Switching between views like Score, Difference to benchmark, and Difference to round.
Refresher training
Give your managers a refresher on the Peakon 15 method. Based on our experience, in just 15 minutes per survey round, each manager can initiate substantial improvements to their team engagement scores. See inspiration in our Workday Peakon Employee Voice Manager Guide.
Participation Rate Monitoring
Are participation rates meeting expectations? Driving meaningful change requires ample feedback. Boost participation by:
- Integrating Workday Peakon Employee Voice with communication tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams.
- Encouraging the use of the Workday Peakon Employee Voice mobile application for push notifications.
- Using internal communication channels for survey awareness.
- Highlighting confidentiality to encourage open feedback.
- And more!
Survey Frequency
Did you know that increasing survey frequency can actually reduce survey fatigue? It's true! Embracing a continuous listening approach has many advantages including real-time trend identification, enhanced leader engagement, and more!
Consider increasing your survey frequency to experience the multifaceted benefits of continuous listening:
- Relevance: Enables discovery of real-time trends, essential for gauging the effectiveness of your actions.
- Question Sampling: Enhances engagement and participation by offering fewer questions per round thus minimizing survey fatigue
- Leader Engagement: Encourages leaders' engagement, fostering a deeper connection with their teams and their evolving perspectives.
- Enhanced Accuracy: Ensures more accurate and up-to-date insights while mitigating missed opportunities for incorporating timely inputs.
