Workday Peakon Employee Voice Adoption Guide - Increased Engagement

Having a highly engaged employee population contributes to increased talent retention, improved productivity, and a more adaptable workforce that is better able to meet customers’ evolving needs. Congratulations on increasing your engagement score! We’ve compiled some tips and tricks to capitalize on the momentum of the positive change happening at your organization.

Follow the Celebrate-Appreciate-Evaluate-Repeat (CAER) method to replicate your success

Celebrate

Share the achievement with your internal teams. Communicating these results shows transparency within the organization. With such outstanding results, it boosts manager engagement within the platform while rewarding everyone’s efforts.

Appreciate

Applaud your team! Your managers are certainly doing something right, which has resulted in your employees feeling happy and giving higher scores.

Evaluate

Digging into the data can uncover the factors driving improvement. Replicating these insights can propel future progress. Some questions to ask yourself:

  • Which actions have been taken based on employee feedback from previous surveys?
  • Have the managers discussed previous engagement scores with their teams and used them to create actions?
  • Have there been any wider changes or initiatives in your organization to which you can attribute the score change? Things like promotions, salary hikes, pay equity initiatives, bonuses, and so on?
  • Were there any additional training or certifications provided for the employees?

Repeat the Steps

Once you identify the probable reasons for the increased engagement, repeat the efforts taken to continue improving your organization’s engagement.

Our recommendations to take it even further

  1. Check out the manager usage metrics dashboard for the active team leads. This enables you to find some champions who can promote the survey and the value of employee engagement throughout your organization.
  2. Review the Employee Experience Cycle function. It enables you to make more targeted decisions in your business based on tenure. It also allows you to address needs proactively while reducing attrition.
  3. Customize company resources and actions. Administrators can add organization-specific custom material to complete the standard content in the Workday Peakon Employee Voice Improve hub.

Empower your managers

How engaged are your organization’s managers? Our research shows that managers at highly engaged organizations start 39% more conversations and have 61% higher conversation reply rates than lower engaged organizations. Also, you can create manager accountability by encouraging the use of the Improve hub to support action planning and suggesting they share results with their direct teams on a monthly basis.

Empower your employees

Engagement is also influenced by employees seeing change for themselves, so consider enabling the personal dashboard functionality. See our list of tips for more ideas.
